NFRS required an equipment management system which would allow stations to manage their own inventories, record the results of standard tests and track equipment movements.
The Brigade Management also specified that the system be visible to Operational Management and support services departments.
HIAL required an electronic equipment management system which would allow a single, central administrator to manage the assets and oversee the standard tests and inspections for its 11 airports.
HIAL's existing system required costly and time consuming audit visits to be made to the airports on a regular basis.
There was also no internet access to the islands and many staff who would be updating records on the system had never used a computer.
DFRS required an in-budget, electronic asset management system that was uncomplicated and could easily be accessed and updated from all stations.
The system required recording information and the standard testing of equipment on its fire appliances and emergency tenders.
